Microsoft is said to launch the Surface lineup of laptops and tablet devices very soon. Now, the company has also announced its launch date which will be October 2 in the US. As far as the event is concerned, we will see the launch of new Surface Go, Surface Pro lineup, Surface Laptop as well as Surface Book devices. While we know most of the things about the Surface lineup, the internals of Surface Laptop 3 were still unknown.
But that is also about to change as we have some details regarding Surface Laptop 3 from Microsoft. In recent news, you must have heard about the resurgence of AMD with its CPU lineup which is named as the Ryzen series. Basically, the Ryzen 3000 series from AMD is almost better than or equal to Intel’s 10th CPUs at much lesser price. Now, we are all set to see the AMD CPUs in laptops as well starting with the Microsoft Surface Laptop 3.
A German site reports that Microsoft might put an eight-core processor powered by AMD in its latest Surface Laptop. This is every indication that Microsoft is looking to price its laptops a little lower than last year which is why Intel CPUs are not preferred. It is also interesting to note that AMD has not released such a processor in the market so we might be set for the global unveiling of these processors with the Microsoft Laptop 3.
The Surface Laptop 3 is also expected to come with a 15-inch model this time around. As for the options, Microsoft is set to launch the device with 8GB, 12GB or 16GB of RAM. All these devices will have different prices but the Surface Laptop 3 with 8GB RAM is expected to start at $1,000 and go all the way up to $2400. While the prices are still on the higher side, they compete well with similar options from other OEMs
