The Sticky Notes are a great way to pin notes and important messages to the desktop on Windows 10.

These are also synchronized with the smartphone and then displayed; for example, in the Microsoft Launcher as a widget directly in the feed. Now Microsoft seems to be working on two useful new features for the Windows 10 app.

Sticky Notes with Support for Tags

Microsoft Sticky Notes Tag Support

The colleagues from ALumia got their hands on a yet unreleased version of the app and discovered the two new features there.

In the future, there will be an extended mode where you can expand the view in the overview of your short notes and edit the respective note and attach it to your desktop.

Furthermore, your short notes will support tags in the future. You can easily hashtag a word and mark your note with it. You’ll probably be able to easily mark and find multiple notes on the same topic in the future.

The two new features are not yet available to users, but are likely to be rolled out for insiders soon. A release for regular users will also follow soon, as long as insiders do not notice any serious problems.
